Chiropractors often freak out about doing a report of findings. It can be a lot of pressure. I remember when I first got into practice, I’m pretty sure ROF’s almost gave me an ulcer.
But it doesn’t really have to be that way. What I learned is that the ROF is only stressful if I didn’t do the first day well. (I used to do ROFs on the second day.)
Patients who left the first day feeling confident that they had found the right chiropractor, were already committed to starting care before I ever did my ROF. Patients who I had failed to connect with on the first day, showed up for their ROF unconvinced.
So the question is, how are your ROFs going? If they are a struggle, I want to challenge you to look at your initial interactions with the patient. Find better ways to connect with them. Find better ways to give them confidence that they have found the right chiropractor. You’ll be glad you did.
